Prairie Trail Students Fight Cancer Using Math Skills

Students at Prairie Trail Elementary raised $3,555.45 through their participation in the St. Jude Math-A-Thon. Math-A-Thon is a supplemental math education program for grades K-8 that also serves as a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Each year thousands of schools participate to help raise millions for the patients of St. Jude, the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatments that are not covered by insurance.

Prairie Trail Is No Place for Hate®

On December 15, we held our No Place for Hate® kick off rally from 3:00 to 3:30. 153 students, 33 parents, and numerous staff were on hand to talk about their ideas for making Prairie Trail the kind of school where everyone feels safe, respected and accepted. So far, 190 students, 33 parents, and 50 staff members have signed the No Place for Hate® promise, and the numbers are growing daily.
